WHEN SHOULD I SCHEDULE MY APPOINTMENT? AND, HOW LONG IS THE PHOTO SESSION?

You can schedule your session anytime. However, it is recommended that the photo session takes place six to ten weeks before your due date. Each session runs between one to two hours. We will take breaks so that you can rest, change clothing. I also suggest that you brings some water and a light snack with you in case you get thirsty or hungry.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO BEFORE THE SESSION?

Since our photo session focuses on the belly area, please make sure that you take care not to wear anything that will leave a mark or indentation on your body--especially elastic waistbands! In fact, I suggest that you wear a loose fitting dress or overalls to the session—without wearing undergarments. Also, please carry your watches with you because the bands leave impressions on your wrists!

WHAT KIND OF CLOTHING SHOULD I WEAR OR BRING?

Although the final photograph(s) are black and white, solid color clothing works best. Patterned fabric can be distracting. I have white shirts and white fabric which you are welcome to use. If there is a particular robe, nightgown, fabric or clothing that you love, please feel free to bring it with you. Dark, form fitting clothing such as a yoga pants and/or leotards work well to create a silhouette.

WHAT ABOUT HAIR, MAKE UP AND JEWELRY?

As far as make up and hair style, do what you always do. Some women want to get their hair done; others leave it the way they normally wear their hair. Keep jewelry to a minimum. Simplicity works the best in all of these areas. The photographs are about you and your baby. The important thing is to feel comfortable.

I FEEL NERVOUS WHAT CAN I DO TO FEEL COMFORTABLE?

Please remember that your input is encouraged during the session--it is a collaborative experience between us. You are not required to do anything that makes you feel the least bit uncomfortable. Do you have to take off your clothes? It’s up to you. You do not have to do anything that you don’t want to do.

CAN MY PARTNER AND/OR CHILDREN BE IN THE PHOTO?

Of course they can! There is an additional charge for more than 2 people.

WHAT IF I HAVE TO CHANGE OUR SCHEDULE SESSION OR CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT?

If you need to change our appointment, I must be notified 48 hours before the appointment or there will be an additional $50 charge. If you cancel the session, you will be refunded your deposit less $50.00.

WHAT IF I HAVEN’T SCHEDULED A SESSION AND I NEED TO GET AN APPOINTMENT RIGHT AWAY?

I will try my best to accommodate you. Give me a call and we’ll see if we can find a time “right away!”

HOW MUCH DOES THIS COST?

In order to reserve your appointment, a deposit of $200 is due when you scheduled an appointment. See the package prices for the cost of the session. The balance is due the day of our photo session. Please be aware that Connecticut State tax will be added to the bill. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me. I’m looking forward to working with you.
